Phil has been quilting and teaching traditional methods for over 30 years but her interest in art quilting began 10 years ago, when she began to focus on using digital techniques to create pictorial quilts from photographs.
Over time, she has developed her own techniques using simple photo editing and raw edge machine applique in her work. She uses a variety of different materials, basically anything that can be stitched and fits the bill at the time
Philhas won a number of awards at QuiltWest, regularly been juried into ‘Stitched and Bound’ contemporary exhibitions and she teaches workshops throughout WA.
